Generations. Family. Together.

It’s no small feat getting the whole family together, especially when they come from all over! But it is so worth the effort.

I got to go back to Vidalia for this lovely wedding! It’s one of my favorite places on the planet and getting to celebrate a beautiful wedding just made it oh so sweet.

This session was one that I don’t think I will ever forget. After getting that news that none of us ever wants to receive, “you have cancer”, Valerie decided to stop the world and capture the beautiful bond between mother and son. Not knowing what the future would hold, she wanted to lay a “stone of remembrance”, this was our life, today.

We played with baby dolls and barbies growing up, and now my very best friend growing up has a baby of her own! It was kind of surreal walking into her home and seeing this perfect bundle of joy in her arms. This was a moment that we prepared for our entire lives, and here she was, practically perfect in every way.

They say that a picture speaks a thousand words. I hope you’re ready to read a novel! This couple said “I do” with their closest friends and family present to celebrate with them. The Chapel at Epworth By The Sea was a picture perfect back drop and the Casino was decked out for the reception where we danced the night away.

What a joy it was to meet this sweet little family! We ran and played and chased a stuffed bunny until we were all worn out. But the smiles and giggles and light in the eyes was so worth it!

The family farm brings out the best in these guys. They feel right at home clattering through the old house, climbing up on the old rusted tractor and showing me their favorite tree (at least it’s their favorite this year). This year was no different! We ran and climbed and explored and snuggled and laughed until the very end.

We took a journey and found ourselves on the side of a mountain, surrounded by changing leaves and a drizzle of rain, it could not have been a more perfect backdrop for Skip and Lane to commemorate the momentous decision to say yes. Yes to a life of laughter together. Yes to a life of walking side by side. Yes to a life of carrying each other through the hard times. Yes to a life…together.

Cake never tastes as good as it does when you turn one! The icing between your little fingers, a fist full of sponge, and then all of the sudden….IT IS EVERYWHERE!!! And it is such a delight!

Family can be found in the eyes, in the smile, in the ones that made us who we are. Three generations of the Cheek family joined me on St. Simons Island to make some memories and capture the beauty that is uniquely Cheek.
